We’ve worked hard to compile this list of the best top full-time MBA programs around the globe and we’ve narrowed the US MBA rankings down to ten of the best.

This ranking is compiled from our data set of thousands of schools and 1.2 million graduates. Full-Time MBA Programs In order to be included in our list, an MBA program needs to be at a recognized business school, provide a US and/or global student body, have a global and/or US graduate student body, and have an alumnus, sponsor of the program, or faculty that are active in the field of business and its related education.


The ranking of the top 20 full-time MBA programs in the United States was determined by the median Total Student Experience score for 2016-2017 academic years for students who took 10 to 12 required courses and who completed an average of 3.5 full-time semesters, or 39 months, at the top 20 business schools during the past six years.

The study represents a unique, global, data-driven look at the strengths and weaknesses of MBA programs worldwide, especially given the rapidly changing US market and higher education climate. To identify the top schools in the country, QS used a point system that ranks a school on a scale of zero to 20.

The number of full-time MBA programmes offered in the United States currently stands at 685, including professional programmes, executive education and degrees with dual Bachelor and MBA programmes. This is a 46% rise in the number of MBA programmes in the US compared to five years ago,

according to the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). The number of full-time MBA students is at an all-time high, exceeding 3,100 for the first time. The US continues to attract and retain the best talent, with 6.4% of professionals holding a professional MBA degree, more than double the average for other OECD countries.
